I have everything up and running, except I get errors when trying to send from the PBEM program. I realize its probably a formatting issue, but I am now officially frustrated with trying different tweaks. Help.

Scroll down a bit. THere's another thread on this topic. Apparently PBEM Helper uses whatever you have set as a default mail program so you can't just use webmail... but yahoo does have pop3 servers so you can set up Doubtlook or Thunderbird and use those for sending via the PBEM Helper.

Actually, PBEMH does have it's own sendmail client which can directly connect to the POP3 server etc. without Outlook, Thunderbird or any email program. You "only" have to give it your account data and it will send out the mail directly. As usual the "only" part isn't exactly trivial as you have to know the correct information to feed PBEMH with the right data to work.

And this right information of which you speak, would it be linked to the correct mailserver address? I've tried yahoo.com (longshot) and a copy/paste from inside my mail page to no avail. I get some kind of "socket" error. I really can see how helpful this program can be, so with help from y'all, I'll keep plugging away. |

It's under Options->Sending Email.
You uncheck the "Use Simple MAPI" (which means use the mail client on your PC) and check "Use SMTP". It has the details you have to enter right there. You need to know if you need to log into your ISP's SMTP server: if you need to log in, then you will have to fill in the login details there. GaJ |
